Bloody Sunday

Hi folks. So the weekend's almost over, Joonas already summed up the weekend so I got only some random notes of the past two days. Joonas got his new camera, which led to my decision that I'll have to start saving more money so I can get my own camera soon (not the same camera but an actual camera anyways, not a blurred party pic taker like my current Sony is) . I'm thinking of buying the EOS 450D by Canon, Joonas has the previous model (350D) and it has gotten some good reviews so at this point I'm leaning on the 450. I also recorded an insane (not meaning insane the good way, but in it's actual meaning) piano concertto saturday morning. The song really sounds like made by a madman (ehm...maybe the slight hang over had something to do with it) , so this time won't bring up the mad parts of me and I will not publish the song (probably it would make you insane as well) .  So that's pretty what was up this weekend. ESPN America is free in Finnish cable network for this month so I'm able to see Kansas vs. Mizzou tonight, check it out if you like basketball, some serious border war will be going on. Now more of some other topics.

I've always been a fan of good video editing. So last july when I was still in the army we were thinking that skateboard and snowboarding movies have maybe the best editing in any movie genre. They have out there guys who can do this stuff better on their iMac than the guys in Hollywood with a building full of stuff to do the shit these guys make with their laptops. Okay, the special effects are a whole other story, but now I'm talking about only video editing. I follow the skateboarding and snowboarding scene only randomly every once a while, yet I can name some guys who can make these amazing films that can get a person who doesn't give a shit about extreme sports still saying 'well, didn't like the boarding but the film was damn good'.  About a month ago the Alien Workshop movie 'Mindfield'... best film editing ever, period. Just check out this short trailer of the movie and what it's all about. Btw, they had a nice after-party too at a place in Punavuori (that is in Helsinki) called Motellet. One of my favorites is also a Finnish snowboarding movie Elekrep (elekrep is the finnish swear word perkele backwards. To find more about perkele, check out http://ilmainensanakirja.fi/trans?q=F-fi.T-en.Q-perkele.Q2-Perkele%21 ,) . So that's what is in my mind right now, some more stuff coming up later this coming week. Let's end the story with MGMT , Weekend Wars.
