From A to MBE

Oh another lovely week's passed so it's time write down something. Nothing special during the week... some moron in Germany went and shot 15 people. I know the world is full of wackoes but..shiet ! What else...hmm.. I've been noticing that a lot of grocery stores in Finland have started selling these 'super exotic' American products such as Mac & Cheese or A&W Root Beer. The funniest thing is these anything but exotic things in the U.S are here so effin' exotic luxury stuff. They sell Mac & Cheese here for 3 or 4 euros per packet, over the pond they sell it for less than dollar ! Mang, that's crazy. Same goes for root beer that costs here 2 euros or more per can, there...maybe 50 cents. I know they are import products and it raises the price but still, they aren't luxurious like a bottle of five-star French wine so why treat them as luxury... If I only could get a picture of this sign in a near-by grocery store saying "Luxury Imports" and the shelf under the sign being full of vanilla Dr. Pepper and Kraft Mac & Cheese.

More of some random stuff, I found pictures of Soviet Era buildings and I gotta say, they built some pretty sick buildi
ngs there. There's a ton of pictures of these experimental, psychedelic Soviet buildings in the web. Couldn't find any page that would have a gallery of all these buildings but I'll show you some of the craziest. This 3D-like house reminds me of a retro futuristic community or something. It has some kind of a motel-looking twist in it and I like it. Kinda look-a-like, this house in Tblisi is like straight outta Star Wars. Yet my favorite is to come. This (I don't know what this is) thing is something unexplainable. So I suppose this is the result when you put together a communist architect with limitless resources (the fellow soviet citizens are paying of course) and whole bunch of acid.

If you're still not looking that picture and thinking 'What the fuck !?' I could say few words about the music I've been listening to this past week. I finally took the time I learned how to make beats properly with the Ultrabeat in my Logic Pro so I've been especially listening to songs with good beats to get some vibes to make some of my own. First off down to old school, right now I'm listening to this MoTown collection album my old man bought... gotta love the grooves. Then earlier in the week Nikke introduced to me this great instrumental song from Royksopp (you'll see the name in my playlist) . Other than that, I've been listening to brit pop... more of some Franz Ferdinand plus a band named Supergrass (check 'em out) . Saturday we also went to see Michael Black Electro to place in Kallio, Helsinki called Kuudes Linja. Michael Black Electro is an alternative rap artist, who combines some weird ass tribal stuff with electro and hip hop and makes it sound all good. I wasn't sure how the show would turn up with all the dark and chill out beats (which I also love BTW) MBE has in his songs but I gotta say he had one hell of a gig. Special props to the DJ LJudas who played before MBE, he totally killed it with his set.

So that's the story this time. Listen to the songs in the playlist, they all are great (as always) .
