Past few days...

Nice sunday afternoon again, nothing good to do so why not write something up. This weekend was nothing special so this time I'm concentrating stuff that happened this past week. So, this week's been a sporty one, I almost feel like a pro athlete. Nikke introduced me to the noble game of snooker and I can tell you, it's loads of fun (and hard too) . So we did that couple of times (the first game was somewhat close, but in the other game Nikke just simply owned my snooker-newbie ass). We also played some hockey during the week that is always fun. Last but not least, we've been playing FIFA 09 with Nikke like hell, and the best part is we have this huge rivalry going on between Argentina and Brazil. Nikke plays always Argentina and I play Brazil, the matches are always close but up to this point I've come with the victory every single time.

I don't really have any theme for this text other than writing something about sports and music so here's just some Random Notes about stuff I've found this week :

• Rush Limbaugh is the most annoying person in the world period. Seriously, read a single article about him and I'll bet your blood pressure jumps sky high. This guy is just so fucking moron I can't believe it. He's so pro-war and pro-all the other unintelligent redneck stuff that fucks up the rest of the world that he really should get a moron hall of fame honorary place with all other guys like him (read. Hussein, Sadam ; Hitler, Adolf). The worst part is there's bunch of people who are die hard fans of this guy who talks about stuff he has no clue about.
• I think the new Maserati Quattroporte might be the most beatiful car ever.
• I luuuv my new Nike SB's. I got them from Grey Market Supply, it's really a great little store. If you do shopping in Helsinki and like such brands as Nike, Vans or LRG - check it out. The store locates in Lasipalatsi right next to Forum.

Now let's talk some music. Ever since I found Emma Salokoski Ensemble couple months ago I've been trying to search for this soul/funk/jazz/bossa nova artists. First I found some artists that were okay, but not great so I kinda forgot the whole thing. But then I listened to this great album Tuomo - Reaches Out to You and finally I was like "Well this is the groovy stuff I've been looking for" . Actually this Tuomo is also a member of Emma Salokoski Ensemble so no wonder why the album's so good. I can't really explain why I like this kinda music... it's just the whole thing together - the groove, the atmosphere, the bassline, the funky guitar... Listening these songs make me feel like wanting to go somewhere warm NOW (too bad I don't have the money nor the time) . So, my this week's playlist is (surprise surprise) strongly influenced by this soul/funk/jazz stuff with exception of this one great 80's song :D
